Position Summary the Peer Support Worker provides addictions recovery support to individuals who are struggling with substance misuse. The Peer Support Worker provides one on one and group support in a residential setting, while providing a safe, trauma informed and bi-cultural environment of recovery and support. Qualifications o Personal experience in recovery from addiction challenges and ability to draw upon wellness and recovery experience o Peer support related training is a strong asset and knowledge in harm reduction principles is an asset o Mental Health & Wellness Certificate and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience would be considered an asset* Will include shift/weekend work as we are a 24/7 hour facility.
